DEMENTIA CAPABLE
CARE CERTIFICATION
(DCC)
Build the knowledge and skills to provide compassionate, person-centered care.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Dementia Capable Care® (DCC) is an evidence-based dementia and behaviour training program developed by the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI).
It is designed to help healthcare workers and caregivers provide safer, more effective, and more person-centred support to individuals living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.
HOW IT WORKS
The program combines the Claudia Allen Cognitive Disabilities Model, person-centred care principles, and CPI de-escalation strategies.
